British and British Empire postage stamps have traditionally been collected according to reign.  Great Britain's penny black, usually regarded as the world's first postage stamp, was issued during the reign of Queen Victoria, and so it is with that reign that our list begins.

Queen Victoria (The Victorian Era)    June 20, 1837 to January 22, 1901

Edward VII (The Edwardian Era)        January 22, 1901 to May 6, 1910

George V                                           May 6, 1910 to January 20, 1936

Edward VIII                                        January 20, 1936 to December 11, 1936
