Comments: Not inexpensive, although acquiring the seven CD's individually would be no cheaper.  Here one has them all together, as it were, in a quality package that includes a nice 45-page booklet.  For overall quality, one would be hard-pressed to do better than Sir Neville Marriner conducting the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields.

There are, of course, other multi-CD volumes in the Complete Mozart Edition; it was a huge effort on the part of Philips and the performers in the early 1990's.  If one were to acquire the entire edition (more and more difficult, as some volumes seem to be going "out of print"). one would end up with a a staggering - though very worthwhile - collection of 181 CD's, and would have spent, at full retail, a good deal of money.

Fortunately, Philips has now released a "Best of the Complete Mozart Edition" compilation (see below), that includes a more manageable, but still very impressive, 25 CD's.
